Student Writing Awards

swaimage.pngThe annual writing awards are designed to highlight and celebrate outstanding student scholarship on issues of importance to women.  The competition is open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional school student papers that relate to women’s issues, gender, or feminist theory.

Entrant must be a undergraduate, graduate, or professional student.
Paper must meet the following:

Submission must relate to women’s issues, gender, or feminist theory.

The author must be a currently enrolled student.

Papers must be typed in Times New Roman font, 12 point, double-spaced on 8.5x11 paper. The title page of the paper should contain the title of the paper and indication of one of the following categories: Professional/Graduate or Undergraduate. Papers should be between 10 and 30 pages, including footnotes or endnotes.

The name, address, telephone number and e-mail address of the author should be on a separate page following the title page. No personal identifying information should appear on any other page.

A brief letter of support from a faculty member should accompany each paper. This letter should indicate the value of the paper’s contribution to its field.

Submit a paper by noon on January 24, 2013 to cwe@emory.edu.
